Ahmed Abdi, born in 1991. He fled with his to Ethiopia when he was a child. At nine they moved to Sudan, where they lived together for two years until his aunt decided to go to Libya with him. Caught by Libyan border police he spent two years in jail, while his aunt looked for money to pay for his freedom. They lived in the Libyan city of Homs for two years after his release, when they decided to take a ship to Italy. The boat sank shortly after it set sail. His aunt died in the shipwreck and he was taken by police and put in jail. Released, he tried again to flee to Italy but was caught and spent three years in prison where he was tortured.
