Gerald Wayne went to Vietnam because his grandmother asked him to do something with his life. He still cries remembering the orders he gave to his soldiers to kill civilians, even children. He came back with severe PTSD, unable to do much of anything, not even sleep. In the VA hospital he received small green pills that he discovered made him feel better, and this led to his drug addiction. It took him a long time to overcome the addiction.
